Who is it For?
The Athletic development programme is for junior athletes who want to take their training to a higher level by increasing their athletic ability. It will make you stronger, faster and more resilient to injuries.
What is it?
Using a combination of bodyweight exercises and explosive movements the sessions are designed to be fun, engaging and most importantly improve your athletic ability.
Where and When is it?
The Training takes place at the Northumberland club Jesmond Newcastle upon Tyne Saturday's from 1pm. Depending on spaces available training will be either 1-2pm, 2-3pm or 3-4pm
JOE WEAR, STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH
Joe leads the strength and conditioning programme at the club and for the Northumberland tennis academy. He was on the books of Hartlepool United FC before studying in the US with a scholarship for football at the University of Tulsa. Joe has a BSc in Exercise & Sports Science and is certified by the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCC) and the National Strength & Conditioning Association (CSCS).
Ross Graham has extensive experience in leisure having worked for some of the largest leisure companies in the UK. An ex international gymnast, Ross brings a wealth of experience to the industry with a strong depth in knowledge and understanding of what it takes to be the best.
Ross believes firmly in the principles behind gymnastics conditioning in relation to athlete development with a key focus on athlete robustness.
Blake is a UKSCA accredited strength and conditioning coach working for he Northumberland Tennis Academy and Newcastle University. Blake currently works within Tennis, Rugby, Water Polo and Kayaking and has previous experience in professional football and semi-professional Rugby League. He holds a MSc in Strength and Conditioning and a BSc in Sport Rehabilitation.
