Every now and again someone will say Joe I need some strength and conditioning.
Correct you do. (including myself)
But hold on first because I’m gonna break things down for you.
The way it works in the ol fitness industry is what elite athletes and coaches are doing usually filters it way through the media into main stream gyms.
Some athlete will swear they won a medal due to squats so every tom dick and harry starts squatting.
Often with the best intentions but more than likely going to cause an injury due to technique.
Big box gyms will get all the latest fancy machines and let you use it even when it might not be necessary for you.
They employ some PT’s and start running strength and conditioning classes.
Bearing in mind you can do a weekend course and become a fully qualified trainer.
I’ll not bore you with my qualifications but you can read more here https://www.joewear.co.uk/about
Take a lady I had in for an assessment this morning.
A very keen runner who’s been told she needs some S&C training.
She’s a member of a local budget gym and the PT hands her a programme that in her own words.
Looks like a generic programme that they give everyone.
A programme for a 50 year old woman is going to look different than a national level junior tennis player.
It’s why I individualise all my programmes.
I ask a lot of questions so I can get you the right programme.
If a coach can’t explain their programme to you then it’s probably best looking else where.
I need to know your exercise history.
What your diets like.
What injuries you’ve had or have.
Then I can start to put you a programme together.
It’s pure laziness if a trainer just hands you the same sheet as someone else.
I pride myself on helping my clients improve.
Here what Rob said whos training for a marathon.
I have used a number of personal trainers in Newcastle over the years but really noticed the difference in 8 weeks using Joe. He has guided me through a targetted training plan, fully explaining the technique and benefits of all the exercises. His enthusiasm and motivation has really helped me along the way
Coaching is about helping you improve.
Like I’ll be doing with the people on this course in September.
You need to come for a Free coaching session first so I can make sure it’s the right thing for you.
P.S It’s a guaranteed way to shift excess timber. https://www.joewear.co.uk/dropaclothessizein7weeks
